Regional Sales Development Manager

Yokogawa is looking for a high potential Regional Sales Development Manager to develop and grow our recently acquired Control of Work safety product sales through the Yokogawa company network. Reporting to the Sales Manager the Regional Sales Development Manager will be responsible for supporting the Yokogawa operating companies primarily in the European region with the promotion of RAP solutions, identifying new markets. They will play a key role in building new internal and external customer relationships, maximising revenue from the existing installed base, and will support our customer's digital transformation journeys.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven with a strong track record of sales and highly experienced in closing solutions-based technology deals. They will be experienced in successfully managing long sales opportunity, obtaining executive buy-in and demonstrating strong project management and follow-through.

About the job:
  • Working with the existing Yokogawa operating companies' sales teams and the RAP marketing function.
  • Proactively support building a sales pipeline and consistently win new deals through supporting operating companies including direct engagement with current and potential clients
    • Deliver demonstrations, sales presentations, both internally and externally.
    • Tailor proposal content to meet the opportunity requirements
    • Create internal pricing using the RAP pricing tool
  • Understanding specific client requirements and communicating these to the Implementation and Development teams
  • Travel when required to visit clients internally and externally across the European region and on occasion, further afield.
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients' business and technical challenges, operating and maintenance environment, capabilities and goals and the competitive landscape
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships primarily internally ensuring clients are provided with the product and service offering that drives both Yokogawa’s RAP4 installed base and client success and high satisfaction
  • Build Yokogawa’s RAP4 brand and knowledge of our value in conjunction with our marketing team.
About your skills:
  • Robust forecasting and time management capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, and an ability to interpret complex technical issues and translate into business needs
  • Comfortable presenting to an international audience using various conferencing tools
  • Ability to excel in a client-facing consultative role developing new business

More about you:
  • Knowledge of control or work and related safety systems within Operations and Maintenance functions at industrial high hazard plants would be a considerable advantage
  • Knowledge of industrial processes and experience of working on them or in supplying industrial equipment including specification, selection and installation would also be a benefit
  • Experience in managing long sales and complex RFI / RFP processes
  • You have high integrity and ethics, with a passion for learning and teaching. You love challenging yourself to improve, and sharing your knowledge to empower others constantly

Yokogawa is searching for a talented individual to implement and provide application support for the APAC regional RAP4 Control of Work Safety Solution. Ideally from a HSE background, you will build on your existing skills while becoming a subject matter expert in our control of work solutions and services to deliver projects successfully. The RAP4 solution keeps corporate workforces safe by delivering industry-leading Control of Work software solutions and support services to high-hazard industries worldwide.
Based from Sydney, this role will partner with the Regional Sales Manager, and see you demonstrating your understanding of health, safety and environmental issues, reviewing HSE incidents and near misses, etc while identifying corrective and preventative actions via knowledge fairs and workshops, networking, communities of practice etc., which can be captured within our knowledge base.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Discuss customer safety requirements, maintain and understand customer risk profiles, their challenges, and operating environment
  • Write, review, and collaborate on design specifications to create configurable control of work solutions and workflows; drive risk reduction and performance improvement
  • Review and research the latest information from industry bodies and best practices applied by different industries, update the RAP system and communicate this information to our clients
  • Onboarding of new users to the RAP4 solution and delivery of product training at customer sites
  • Collaborate with customers and internal users for support and technical queries.
To be considered for the role, you’ll need to demonstrate:
  • Extensive knowledge, skills and experience in the implementation, maintenance, and review of safety management systems and safety audits
  • ISO Systems ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management or equivalent ASEAN regional HSSE legislation and standards
  • Proficiency in programs such as the Microsoft Office Suite and general IT principles
  • Ability to understand and translate customer environments to product solutions
  • Experience in managing and maintaining OHSMS management systems
  • Knowledge of the application of OHSMS legislation, tools, and techniques.
  • Drivers licence and ability to travel.
